Kajima, with partners PAD RES, Poland’s leading clean energy developer, has energised two solar farms, with a total installed capacity of 24MW, in Koszalin County.
The farms have been developed across a total area of approximately 28 hectares and connected to the Energa-Operator S.A. power grid. Their estimated annual generation capacity is approximately 26,000 MWh, equivalent to the electricity demand of around 10,000 households.
“The energisation of these two farms is the next step for PAD RES in converting its extensive development pipeline into operational assets. It represents an important milestone for both the company and for Poland’s wider energy transition as solar becomes an increasingly important source of power in the country. Having these projects reach the energisation stage also means that PAD RES can continue to focus efforts on growing its portfolio, supporting Kajima Partnerships’ wider ambitions for sustainable power,” said Chris Gill, Managing Director at Kajima Partnerships.
Nomad Electric acted as the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractor for both projects, providing comprehensive engineering and construction services for utility-scale renewable energy facilities.
